Position Description:

This position reports to the Central Maintenance Area Manager and is responsible for all aspects of managing the Contractor activities for a highly complex Pulp and Paper Manufacturing facility. Successful incumbent will be responsible for the safe, efficient and cost effective operations for all contractors onsite. Will review, approve and maintain safe work plans, job audits, 70E, Tappi Safe and ISN requirements and maintain files on each; Manage and track GPC spending in all categories of labor, materials and rentals; write and manage Annual Blanket PO; Approve weekly costs and invoice package for finance department.


B.S. degree in Engineering or related field or 10 years of operating experience in Mill Operations. Prefer 10 or more years' experience in Paper, PS&D, Power and/or Pulp Operations / Maintenance. Completion of First Line Leader or other formal Leadership Development required within one year of accepting this position, if not already possessed. Successful candidate must have demonstrated strong leadership skills and a proven track record of improving employee engagement, exercising effective spending management, and contributing to the development of future budgeting needs on a number of repair jobs. Qualified candidates should also possess good oral and written communication skills. Computer related Skills needed are SAP Plant Maintenance, Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point, and Outlook.
